5 Cool Things

I’m a big animal-lover. As often as we can, my wife and I travel to Idaho to see many wild animals, such as bears, elk, bison, deer, and marmots. Twice we’ve been able to bottle feed several bear cubs. It’s heartening to view and interact with these beautiful, lively creations of earthly life.

For many years I thought the style was ugly, even for a Honda, but I really like my ride. I admire things that serve a purpose and serve it well. My car has gotten me everywhere I’ve needed to go for more than nine years. I like to think that vehicles are not only forms of function, but works of art, too.

Video game consoles, like Super Nintendo, raised me. I really enjoy playing all Nintendo consoles. Thankfully, I was able to hold onto my family’s original SNES, as well as obtain the classic version. This original SNES is over 30 years old and still works like new!

As an animal-lover, naturally, I exceedingly adore cats. These are my pet felines: Mira and Grey. They are my children. I get excited when I come home and are greeted by these delicious furballs.

I love Pennsylvania, my childhood home state. I really love greenery and rolling hills. It’s not hard for me to cherish the small-town vibes in the East Coast. One day, my dream is to return and retire in PA.

  1. Hey Kevin, I totally agree with you that cars are art too. They are art, made by science, just like movies are both art and science. Since we’re paired up during the shot for shot duplication, how interested would you be making a movie with cars? Let me know and I look forward to working with you this semester!

    Let’s make a movie!

  2. Hi Kevin! I never knew you loved animals so much!! Getting to bottle feed bear cubs is INCREDIBLE!! You should talk to Esau Gomez-Ang about bears. Your cats are beautiful too!! I love animals as well but sadly I have been viciously cursed with a cat allergy. It haunts me. Your car is great!! It was definitely a big help during Dogleg last semester. I hope you get to go to Pennsylvania too! I love trees and mountains since I’m from Washington so I understand your affinity for them. It is a dream of mine to see the rolling hills of Pennsylvania during the fall! Also, those video game consoles are super cool! Thanks for sharing Kevin!

  3. You have some interesting interests. I love animals too, and it’s cool you get to be in such close contact with them. I also admire your love of video games as a fan myself. It’s a good thing your Super Nintendo picture has a Super Nintendo for scale.

  4. Kevin, I didn’t know you were such a big animal lover – I love animals. I actually studied to be a vet for three years before I changed my degree. My dad is really big into photography so I am also a fan of wildlife photography and honestly, a trip to Idaho sounds so fun!

  5. Kevin, I didn’t realize how much we have in common! I LOVEEE the bear pic, they’re so cute! I think it’s so sweet you and your wife go to see animals together and have gotten to feed baby bears, that sounds so fun. I’m from NC, so I also share that love for greenery and hills. Your cats are adorable, I really want some one day, as a fellow cat lover. (but I’m also kind of scared of them, and all animals, I don’t like being scratched or bit) Anyways, cool pictures!!

  6. Hey Kevin, I’m excited that you like cars and feel their art because we get to work together and I’m thinking of making one of my films car related somehow. And I definitely like cars too. My dad instilled that in me. I also, if you go on my portfolio, have shot photography and videos on cars. My first video I made on cars is a video I made about my dad’s car, or the car he had before he got another one. Also, interesting that you like playing games on old consoles. Have you ever played on or still have a Nintendo Gamecube? Maybe games like Metroid, Kirby, or Mario? I was never too much into games, but when I was really young that’s the only games I ever got into a little. Besides Minecraft and Wizard101. Have you played those too?
